Amy Skerry, L.I.S.W. has worked for more than 34 years as a clinical social worker in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health and addictions settings. Her initial experience was in an outpatient mental health center where she did the range of clinical practice with children, families and groups. She has expertise in evaluation of substance abuse. Her experience at Laurelwood Hospital provided her with extra training in the treatment of abuse victims, adult children of alcoholics, codependency in families, as well as the range of mental health and relationship challenges, such as depression, anxiety and binge eating disorder. She is experienced with dialectical behavior therapy. Through recent training through Stanford University, Amy Skerry has also developed an expertise in chronic disease management.
